The Liberal Party is of the opinion that Green Left Parliamentarian Wijnand Duyvendak should resign because he has lied until recently about his involvement in a burglary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1985. [Duyvendak has also served a jail sentence for breaking into a military complex in 1984] The Green Left party however supports the parliamentarian saying that they knew about his criminal past when they put his candidacy for the parliament forward.
