Despite the government’s efforts to discourage smoking, which
has had a certain impact; in particular with university and college degree adults, and to a lesser extent the low skilled population.
Yet, the tobacco related industry and the
number of producers and wholesalers has remained virtually unchanged over the
past ten years.
