A new Dutch book by Olivier van Beemen which title translates
into Beer for Africa, the best kept secret of Heineken reveals a large number
of extreme ugly and probably criminal activities of several subsidiaries of the
company in Africa. One of van Breemen’s examples
is that the company employs thousands of “beer girls” for promotional
activities. They often have to sleep with managers to keep their job. The
problem is known for twenty years.
