Utrecht Among European Leader of Hacked Computers

A study by Simantec, a software security company, showed that Utrecht is among the European towns in which most computers are hacked. It is fourth in Europe after Madrid, Istanbul, and Moscow.  It has thirteen times more infected “bots” than Amsterdam, which is number two. These bot programs can be used by hackers who attempt to breach security anywhere in the world. Of the 830,000 bots in the Netherlands, 700,000 affect computers in Utrecht.
