Yasmina Haifi, (a Labor Party candidate in Parliamentary
elections) was dismissed by the National Cyber Security Center after she had tweeted
that “ISIS
has nothing to do with Islam. It’s part of a plan by Zionists who are
deliberately trying to blacken Islam’s name.” She was then readmitted by
the Justice Ministry as an employee in a different position. She has brought a
law suit against the Ministry saying that she had no prospects for advancement
at the Ministry. A Judge has now ruled
that Haifi (a Muslim), may take her case to a Labor Court because a written reprimand would
have been sufficient as her statement was protected by freedom of speech.
