Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Environment Wilma
Mansveld (Labor Party) has resigned as a result of the presentation of the
parliamentary inquiry report on the Fyra high-speed fiasco. The report on Mansveld’s activities was
damning. The commission rebuked
Mansveld, among other things, for having reported inadequately, carelessly and
inaccurately to Parliament. Mansveld has
been criticized extensively on a variety of other issues, including the operations
of the railway infrastructure company ProRail.
