Prime Minister: Economic Recession in The Netherlands

Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende (Christian Democrat) says the Dutch government does not expect the Dutch economy to grow in 2009 and 2010. Balkenende based his statement in part on conversations with the steel company Corus and the truck company DAF. The heads of these companies said that they had never experienced a crisis like the current one.
