National Water Authority Dismantling Two New Speed Boats

The National Water Authority has bought two unusable Italian speed boats at a cost of 1 million euro.  These rigid hull inflatable boats cannot be used on the North Sea because the sea is too rough. The Authority was not able to define the purchase order appropriately.  Experts say that the Authority lacked knowledge in the field.  Dutch Minister Van Nieuwehuizen said that it is irresponsible for safety reasons to sell the boats to others.  They are now being dismantled and an effort will be made to reuse some parts or sell them.

Hackers Steal Information about Home Hunters from Housing Agency

Hackers have stolen hundreds and possibly thousands of identity card scans after breaking into the computer system of a rental housing company.  The information stolen was uploaded between 2017 and 2019 by people seeking a place to live.  The hackers possess the name, address, contact information and copies of passports or id cards which include a personal identification number (BSN).  This allows hackers to open bank accounts or take out loans by using other peoples’ identity.
