Wilders: Two Ministers Tried to Intimidate Me

In a meeting with Freedom Party (PVV) leader Geert Wilders, Ministers Ernst Hirsch Ballin of Justice and Maxime Verhagen of Foreign Affairs (Both Christian Democrats) tried to convince him to cancel his movie on the Quran, violence and incitement. Verhagen said that the movie could cause damage to the Netherlands’ international image. Hirsch Ballin stated that the movie might lead to legal prosecution of Wilders. 730,000 Tax Payers to Redo Tax Declarations Due to Computer Failure

Deputy Minister of Finance Jan Kees de Jager has offered his apologies to 730,000 tax payers who will have to redo their tax declarations by e-mail. Computer failure at the Tax Authority has made the previous declarations unusable.

TV Network Cancels Bible and Violence Movie

The KRO, Catholic television network, has cancelled its plans to produce a documentary which links the Bible to contemporary Christian violence. This documentary was meant to contribute to the debate surrounding the planned movie by Freedom (PVV) Party leader Geert Wilders on the Quran, violence and incitement. A spokesman said that the network was unable to produce an adequate movie on this subject.

Taliban announces Increased Attacks on Dutch troops due to Quran Movie

The Taliban have announced that they will increase their attacks on the Dutch troops in Afghanistan if the movie by Geert Wilders, the leader of the Freedom Party, on the Quran and incitement to violence is shown. The Netherlands have about 1600 soldiers in Afghanistan, most of whom are stationed in the Uruzgan province.

Dutch Movie not Welcome at Egyptian Festival

The international children’s film festival which will take place in Cairo at the beginning of March 2008 will refuse to show Dutch movies due to the planned documentary on the Quran and violence by Geert Wilders, the leader of the Freedom Party. Danish films will also be refused because of the reprinting of the Mohammed cartoons.

Dutch Cost Government too Much

“The Dutch cost their government too much. The more Dutchmen there are, the more they cost the Government.” This was stated by Peter Kooiman, a senior official of the Central Planning Bureau. He explained that the services provided by the Government during a person’s lifetime cost more than a person contributes in taxes. Kooiman came out against the proposal by Minister Rouvoet (Christian Union) to promote childbirth and said that this will negatively influence Government finances.”

Dutch-Built Mosques Spread Anti-Western Hatred in Afghanistan

In the framework of their support of the local population and the effort to create good public relations, Dutch soldiers have built mosques in the Uruzgan province of Afghanistan. It now has become known that Taliban influenced imams use the mosques’ loudspeakers to promote propaganda against NATO soldiers and the Afghan government. The Trade Union of Dutch soldiers VBM/NOV is shocked by this.
