Dutch Deputy Mayor Goes into Hiding in UK after Threats

Deputy Mayor Bouke Arends of Emmen has been in hiding in the UK for three weeks after the Dutch public prosecution told him that his life was in danger.  The prosecution linked the threats to the closure of the local home of the motorclub, No Surrender.  This closure occurred after the police told him that structural crimes such as drug trade and violence took place at the motorclub.  No arrests were made.

Asylum Seekers Jump from One Country to Another

In 2016, more than 10,000 were identified as opposed to 4,800 in 2015. Yet the Service does not catch them due to the fact that before they can be caught they have already moved to another country.
