Police Make Racist Remarks about People who are Arrested

Last year police arrested ninety people when the Dutch popular figure Sinterklaas made his entrance in the town of Gouda. In the official report the police wrote that officers were standing between the podium where Sinterklaas stood and the media. They saw families with small children and among them people with deviating appearances. One could characterize them as “leftist-oriented.” There were also a number of people with “Negroid” appearances. Both terms appeared in the police reports.
