Increase in Number of Elderly Alcoholics

The number of elderly alcoholics will increase significantly in the coming years. This was stated by psychologist Harrie van Gestel of the Novadic Kentron Institute which deals with addictions. According to him, many people who are retired experience a vacuum in their lives and thus drink alcohol more often. The number of people above the age of 55 taken care of by institutes for addictions has doubled in the last ten years to more than 11,000.

Alcohol Server Certification should be an answer to this growing numbers of alcoholics. Proper training and knowledge will be taught to managers and staffs especially how to handle the elderly.
