On June 30th, Amsterdam firefighters will protest once again. They intend to drive a “funeral procession” of fire trucks toward the municipality. There they will present Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan with a coffin. In this way, the firemen wish to express fear for their safety and that of Amsterdam citizens due to the announced budget cuts in firefighting services.
