Gorinchem: Moroccans Fight Police

Police were attacked by Moroccan youngsters in the Haarwijk neighborhood in Gorinchem, after they arrested a 17-year old boy. His friends tried to prevent his arrest, and threw stones and a bicycle at the policemen. A police car and another vehicle were damaged. In October 2008, in the same neighborhood, firemen were threatened, and on New Year’s Eve there was arson in a supermarket and a school in that neighborhood.
