Police Officers Confidence in Politicians Reaches New Low

Four police officers were injured during arrests in Rotterdam. Jan Struis of the Police Union NPB said that police officers’ confidence in politicians to act against the violence have reached a new low after twenty years of empty promises. Rob den Besten, chairman of the police Central Works Council, agrees. “As long as community service for assaulting police officers police officers have no faith in judges either.” The national police chief, Erik Akerboom, said that he is also fed up with violence against his people.
