On behalf of his government, Prime Minister Rutte has
apologized to all people in the province of Groningen who have suffered damage
from earthquakes. He said that the government has understood the problems involved far too late. He also said that they were too focused on legal issues which slowed down dealing with the
damages and strengthening buildings.
