Two Turkish Dutchmen Anil S from Amsterdam, and Burak A.
from Eindhoven have been arrested in Athens together with 7 other Turks as part
of a plot to assassinate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his recent
visit to Greece’s capital. According to Greek media, they belong to the extreme
left DHKP-C, a Marxist Leninist terrorist organization. Both Turkish Dutchmen had been added to the
Dutch terror watch list in the summer of 2017. Their bank accounts have been
frozen.
