Recently senior Amsterdam official, Saadia a –T was
suspended and is subject to a criminal investigation for fraud and abuse of influence. She was the senior expert on radicalization
among Muslims. Besides that she is
accused of having missed out on major signals of radicalization and the role of
recruiters in the city. The council
wants to know whether her department is in chaos and whether a club of ‘friends’
runs the department. The national
ombudsman confirmed in January that the municipality had not properly informed a
father of a jihadist who was killed in Syria.
