Abuse of public transportation staff is becoming
increasingly violent. This was stated by
university lecturer Ronald van Steden at the Amsterdam Free University. He said that while the number of incidents
has remained more or less stable, employees are confronted with extreme cases
of robbery, armed assault and bodily harm.
