Many Murderers Escape Punishment

Forensic experts and pathologists say that murderers in the Netherlands increasingly escape punishment. This results from the fact that after suspicious deaths far too little forensic research is being done. Last year the number of autopsies was halved. Pathologist Frank van de Gool says that every year 5 000 people die from non-natural causes including traffic accidents. The number of annual autopsies is barely 300.
