Minister: Monitoring Jihadists Top Priority of Dutch Government

Minister Frans Timmermans of Foreign Affairs (Labour Party) has said that monitoring Dutch jihadists is a top priority for the Dutch government. Earlier he had said that many Dutch jihadists have joined the violent ISIS movement, which is active in Iraq and Syria. Timmermans said that around 130 Dutchmen have travelled to these countries, and 30 have returned to the Netherlands. Timmermans also said that it is a scandal how Iraq is governed and how poorly the military is directed.
