A satirical program on the Dutch Socialist Vara broadcasting station showed a manipulated video of Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem Alexander naked among the Papuas in New Guinea. Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders had criticized the Queen covering her hat with a scarf while visiting the Sheik Zayed mosque on a state visit to Abu Dhabi. The official reaction was that she was respecting local customs.
