The
Netherlands is now in the 15th place in the latest International
League Table. This Table was established
by the KidsRights Foundation at Rotterdam Erasmus University. The study lists 165 countries on how they
adhere to international standards for children’s rights. Two years ago the Netherlands was in 2nd
place. Now it is behind countries such
as Thailand, Tunisia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Asylum Seekers Jump from One Country to Another
The Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) last
year identified twice as many asylum seekers who were seeking asylum in two or
more asylum countries. In 2016, more than 10,000 were identified as opposed to
4,800 in 2015. Yet the Service does not catch them due to the fact that before they can be caught
they have already moved to another country.

Extreme right website lists Dutch Jews
An extreme right website lists Jewish Dutch people. The Jewish
information center CIDI is demanding that the list be taken down immediately.
It says that violent antisemites may use the list in many ways.

COCAINE CONVICT DISAPPEARS
Drug trafficker Cetin G. who had been convicted for trafficking
15 000 kilo of cocain has cut his ankle monitor and disappeared. Albert
Springer of the Dutch police union said that the court which send him away with
solely an ankle monitor made an incomprehensible decision.

15 Injured by Smoke Bombs Thrown at Soccer Match
15 people were injured when a large smoke bomb was thrown
during a first league soccer match at the Eindhoven Philips Football Stadium. The victims suffered from respiratory problems and
burning eyes. A smaller smoke bomb was
set off a few minutes later. The game
was between visiting Ajax Amsterdam and the local BSV team.
