The World Risk Report of the United Nations Authority has
concluded that the Netherlands is the least safe country in Europe as far as
natural disasters are concerned. The high position of the Netherlands on the
list derives from the risk for floods. The sea-level is likely to rise in the
coming years, which increases the breaking of the dikes.
