High Level of Violence against Nurses in Hospitals

A new study by Dutch consumer organization Consumentenbond shows that more than half of the nurses polled have been confronted with aggression in the past half year. Among the 400 people polled, several have considered changing profession. Almost 4 out of 10 feel seriously threatened, but they often do not submit police complaints. The chairperson of the nurses’ professional organization, NU’91, concludes that nurses are confronted daily with aggression.
