Amsterdam Head Police Commissioner Bernard Welten, who had criticized Amsterdam Mayor Job Cohen and Interior Minister Guusje ter Horst, has apologized for his remarks in a written statement. The Council of Chief Commissioners had supported Welten’s criticism.
