Violence against Child Care Workers Increases Rapidly

Janny Nab, director of the William Schrikker Group (WSG), says that violence against child care workers is increasing rapidly. The WSG group cares for 8,000 children placed with them by the child protection authorities or judges. Nab says that some child care workers have been locked in closets, their children are identified on the Internet, their cars have been damaged and there have been regular threats of stabbing. In earlier cases ambulance workers, firemen, bus drivers and train personnel had complained about increased aggression against them.
