An investigation by Wakker Dier, an organization for the
well-being of animals, has investigated “Gourmet parcels” in seven supermarkets.
It found that three of the seven investigated parcel types contained meat which
was going bad. In one parcel the dangerous salmonella bacteria was found. Five contained
the E-coli bacteria also known as the excrement bacteria. In one of the parcels
listeria bacteria were found. This project sets out to demonstrate that media coverage can degrade a country's image by using selective news without context. It uses the Netherlands as an example. It is a reaction to the frequent misrepresentations of Israel in many ways in major media, including those of the Netherlands.
