The Wall Street Journal has published an article which
points out that the Netherlands is the only country which has neither admitted
nor apologized for the failure of its war time government, then exiled to
London, to express any interest to what was happening to its Jewish citizens
under the German occupation. Answers by Prime Minister Rutte to parliamentary
questions have made it clear that the country does not want to admit its
collaboration with the German regime.This project sets out to demonstrate that media coverage can degrade a country's image by using selective news without context. It uses the Netherlands as an example. It is a reaction to the frequent misrepresentations of Israel in many ways in major media, including those of the Netherlands.
