High Police Commissioner Demoted – Suspected of Lack of Integrity

Police Commissioner Tom Driessen has been demoted by the police department. This happened because the General Intelligence Service AIVD has doubts about his integrity. Driessen was appointed last year as the National Project Leader to prepare for the Nuclear Security Summit in March 2014 in The Hague. Sixty world leaders including American President Obama and Russian President Putin will attend to discuss the battle against nuclear terrorism. Driessen was responsible for the security aspects of the conference – the largest ever in the Netherlands.
