Netherlands becomes increasingly a heroin producing country
The official prosecution in The Hague says that there is a trend of
the Netherlands becoming a heroin producing country. This is the result of more strict controls
abroad. Recently, nine suspects of a
heroin drug ring from a Turkish family were arrested. The Netherlands is also increasingly used as
a base for heroin trade. Earlier this
year, six people were arrested as they were involved in an international transport
of 1100 kilos of heroin.
