The trade union VVMC says that on the average, every day two
train conductors are harassed, verbally abused and spat at. The union says that it is terrible to be
threatened in this way and the spitting is particularly humiliating. The violence has gone down somewhat due to
measures taken after several conductors were badly beaten up. However there were still 518 complaints
submitted during 2015 regarding aggression against train conductors. This project sets out to demonstrate that media coverage can degrade a country's image by using selective news without context. It uses the Netherlands as an example. It is a reaction to the frequent misrepresentations of Israel in many ways in major media, including those of the Netherlands.
