The national rail infrastructure company ProRail will have a
shortfall of 475 million Euro for the period 2018-2028. This money is required for the management,
maintenance and replacement of rail structures in those years. This was written in a letter from Deputy
Minister Wilma Mansveld to Parliament.
It is based on an independent investigation. That report also highlighted a number of
potential additional financial risks.
