Riot Police Dress Up as Black Pete to Secure Festivities

In Groningen, the national arrival of Sinterklaas, patron bishop of the Netherlands children’s holiday took place. Among the Petes accompanying Sinterklaas, there were a number of undercover riot police dressed up as Black Pete. Under their costumes, they wore bullet proof vests and were armed.
