Development Psychologist Esmeh Lahlah said that authorities and care takers have to give more attention to the influence of child abuse by their parents on Moroccan problem youths. For her doctorate, she researched the ethnic differences concerning child abuse and youth criminality. She discovered that about 60% of violent Moroccan youths have been abused by their parents. According to the psychologist, this explains the behavior of the youths.
