Herman Wiels, leader of Pueblo
Soberano, the largest party on Curaçao –has been murdered on the island’s
beach. Curaçao is a country in the Caribbean which is part of the kingdom of
the Netherlands. Wiels went out without a bodyguard, even though he had been
severely threatened. During the 2012 elections, Wiels insulted the Netherlands,
women and the Catholic Church. He was an admirer of Venezuelan Hugo Chavez.
