The official representatives of the
municipality of Bronckhorst will honor the fallen soldiers of Nazi Germany
buried there on Dutch National Memorial Day, 4 May. This was decided by the
municipality. Last year, this was forbidden by a judge. It was overturned by
a Higher Court recently. (One may recall that the wartime German army, the
Wehrmacht participated in mass executions of Jews and other civilians during
the Second World War.)
