Dutch Youths Suffer from Stress Due to Social Media
A study of the National Academy for Media and Society finds that many Dutch youths between the ages of 13 and 18 suffer from stress due to social media outlets. They can hardly detach themselves from their mobile phones. Youngsters often indicate that they can no longer stop this because they are afraid to be excluded by their peers. In some cases this even leads to an illness called “Fomo” – Fear of Missing Out.
